چکیده
Case Report A right-hand dominant 10-year-old boy fell onto his outstretched hand and twisted his left elbow while jumping over a drain. He was only seen four days after the injury and presented with a swollen left elbow with a severely limited range of motion. There was no pain or tenderness over the distal forearm or wrist. There were no associated open wounds or neurovascular defi cits. Radiographs revealed disruption of the radiocapitellar joint and a posteriorly displaced proximal radial epiphysis with the capitellum interposed within the fracture site (Fig. 1a). Surgery was undertaken through a posterolateral approach to the elbow where the free-fl oating radial head, devoid of An Unexpected Outcome following Radial Head Excision for Jeffrey Type II Fracture-Dislocation of the Proximal Radius in a Child

Monteggia Fracture Dislocation with Ipsilateral Distal Radius - Ulna Fracture in a Child
Background – Monteggia fracture dislocation is proximal ulna fracture with radial head dislocation. We present a rare case of monteggia fracture dislocation Bado type III with ipsilateral distal radius physis injury Salter Harris type II in an eight year old boy. It is to highlight the importance of clinical examination and the need of radiograph one joint above and below the fracture. Case Rep...

INTRODUCTION Traumatic dislocation of the radial head in paediatric population is a well described injury, it is usually associated with an injury to the ulna in the Monteggia lesion (1), but can occur as an isolated injury also (2,3). CASE REPORT A 4.5 year old girl presented to emergency department with her right upper limb held in pronation and flexion following isolated closed injury. Roe...
متن کاملCase Report: A Rare Variety of Type 4 Monteggia Fracture Dislocation in A 28 Years Old Man
A Monteggia fracture is a fracture of the proximal ulna coupled with a radial head dislocation. Numerous classification systems have been developed to characterize these fractures. Bado classification is most commonly used. Bado type 1 Monteggia fractures are most common while type 3 & 4 are rare entities. In our case, after confirming the diagnosis as type 4 Bado Monteggia fracture dislocation...
متن کاملOpen Anterior Hip Dislocation in A Child: A Rare Mechanism of Injury
Traumatic anterior dislocation of the hip is an extremely rare condition in children and open dislocation is even rarer. Thisisusually caused by high-energy trauma. In the current study, we present a case of an eight-year-old child suffering froman open anterior–inferior dislocation of the right hip concomitant with pelvic ring disruption and an ipsilateral open distalfemoral fracture (Salter-H...
متن کاملMedial Radial Head Dislocation Associated with a Proximal Olecranon Fracture: A Bado Type V?
The Monteggia fracture is relatively rare. We present an unreported configuration of a traumatic olecranon fracture with a concomitant medial radial head dislocation in a 3-year-old male. This injury was initially missed and required a subsequent operative intervention. Following surgery, there was evident fracture union, articular congruency, and a full functional recovery. Medial radial head ...
